Yesterday I visited Kamakura which is the last place where the imperor used to live in the Edo period. Only 1h train from my place. I first visited the temple of the Godess Kannon. The thing i prefer are the roofs which melt with the trees around are like poetry I can't stop to read and read again...
At the moment I'm going to leave the place I just feel attract by a path I didn't try yet... At the end of this path there were a cave only lighted with candles where Buddhas where staying quietly. The tunnel was going smaller and smaller, and I almost had to walk with my hands touching the ground. I stayed there for a while between a great respect and a kind of fascination.
Then I saw the Great Buudha called Daibutsu... it's huge... like 8 meters tall... then I went to the south along the coast... walking a way I thought I'll be able to see Fuji-san on the sunset light.
I didn't saw Fuji-san but I found a beautiful hill from which the sunset spectacle should be really impressive... In fact this kind of spectacle is the kind you can't see often in your life. The sun was burning the horizon, and this small island in the middle of the bay... it was that impressive that during few minutes I didn't even notice that the silhouette of the Fuji was offering to my eyes all its beauty on the pink vapors of the evening... as a dream the giant showed me its face... and i didn't had the reflexe to take a picture of what his probably one of the most beautiful thing I ever saw.
As a reflex I went to them and ask : "You're french."
One of them replied : "Ya ! My name's Stephane and here is my friend Michel from Nice !!!!"
I introduced myself : "I'm Emrys, and in fact I come from Nice too"
Michel opened wide eyes and a great conversation followed... He invited me to his place where we had some drink and so many REAL cheeses from France !!! I was on a cloud !
I plus he's gonna give me a lift on monday to help me on my trip hitch hiking to Kyoto.
Then huge party in Alexis' place where I met plenty of his friend, was really great.
But those cheeses.... oooooh those cheeses...
My bag is packed again... on the road again ! Early tomorrow Michel will wait for me in Fujisawa station...
